Reception and management staff offer a really excellent service. Food was amazing and very good value. Kids club great. Menu for kids meals really brilliant. Swimming pool lovely.

The only complaint I have is the waiter staff in the bar and lobby coffee area were unbelievably slow. I felt it was down to staff cuts. I seen people order food and leave as they were waiting so long. Also some of the older bar staff were a bit gruff.

Great location and nicelobby and staff

The bathroom was a bit dated - my wife said lighting was poor for make up application - small tv in room with poor reception on some channels - these are constructive observations not criticisms

The location was great. Staff very helpful. Hotel was spotless. Leisure centre staff very very helpful and friendly. Used the water facilities and the gym and they were both excellent. Food was very good. Would certainly stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

One bar person was very dishonest. Every time we bought a drink we got different change. He kept taking any change left on the counter but wasn't putting it in the tip jar.

Very centeral staff very friendly nice atmosphare lovely and warm to come in from the bad wheather was delighted to have stayed there

When we arived the toilet under seat was not clean when i put up the seat that was our only dissapointment

The staff were very friendly and welcoming - excellent Irish hospitality. The reception and lounge areas were very comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Everything was very clean, despite our rooms being a bit tired. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment - when this is complete I imagine the standards of all the rooms will be able to match the 4star standards of the rest of the hotel.

We stayed in rooms on a floor that not yet been refurbished, so the rooms were a little tired, and the hallways in particular were a bit grubby. My bathroom was new and was excellent, however the other room in our group had not had the bathroom done yet, and it was a little too worn for a 4star hotel.

rooms in hotel are of a poor standerd. I woluld never stay there again

      Very friendly and helpful staff.

The mysterious fog horn fitted into the toilet flushing mechanism.

Initial appearance - friendliness of the staff - helpfulness of the staff Breakfast, dinner, service and waiting staff was very good.

'Duvet' on bed was not acceptable for sleeping under - unhealthy - unbalanced weight - one side was unmovable and the other a normal weight. It was a thick layered, aged, unclean collection of old pieces of fabric. My wife was awake all night unable to sleep because of the unmovable weight not realising the mess that she was under. I woke about 6am and she explained her problem and I changed sides with her only to realise that now I could not move under the 'duvet'. We complained and were moved to another room and told that normally we would be charged extra for the new room but that day they would not do so. Our new room was slightly better than the first but an uncomfortable night was spend because of the heat (no heating was turned on by us) despite the window being open. We came to a sensible decision that going home would be better than staying put. The receptionist kindly did not charge us for the 3rd night.

Nice friendly staff and atmosphere. Good location.

Cleanliness of room poor. Dirty underpants under the bed and beer bottle tops between bed and locker. Only one towel in the bathroom which was old and hard and no toiletries in bathroom. No remote for telly on first night but appeared the following day. View of the back of the hotel not what expected. Bins overflowing on view from dining room.

Everything was excellent except for the heat of the Rooms was far to hot.

      Great deal. Good location

Room equalled price paid. Small room. Very noisy in morning. Sounded like a laundry room or work area overhead or next door

    • Older travelers

Excellent friendly staff, good value food and generous portions.

Rooms were poor and adequate. Overlooked a back yard which emptied bottles etc noisily from around 7am. Doors automatically close in rooms with a bang. Weekend breakfast limited to 10am ending. Not much rest here. One hour delay in getting main course for evening meal. There are two wings of rooms. We were placed in older wing, poor mattress, basic furniture and dreadful tv reception. Very disappointing as previous stay was in newer wing and much better. Asked for adjoining rooms and rang to confirm. Given adjoining numbers but they were not close and were divided by a corridor! Little information or welcome to use leisure facilities in the room. 3 lines about charges only provided.

The warmness shown by the staff towards us. The Food was excellent and the hotel was very comfortable. I very much enjoyed the swimming pool and gym. There was a man singing on the Wednesday night in the bar (didnt get his name) and we thoroughly enjoyed him. The bar food was also excellent loved the cod and chips!!

Unfortunately on our second night we were awoken about 4.00 am by a young couple continuously running up and down our corridor screaming and shouting. They appeared to be racing. They kept banging on our door and other doors. This went on for a long time and as a result I was unable to go back to sleep and felt very tired the next day having to face the journey home. I told the girl on reception about this when we were departing. I should have rang down to reception at the time but hadnt checked what no. to dial for reception. I found their behaviour deplorable and disruptive and was also frightened by their banging on our door!

I liked the friendly greeting, the helpfullness, the buzz about the place, the good food, the comfortable room, the entertainment in the bar (great 2 man band).

I didnt like leaving on Monday morning ---------- wished i had a another coupla days.

Our room was tiny overlooking a car park for 300 euro for two night stay outrageous when we had dinner there on sat night we were put behind a piller with an empty room and the waitress spilt a glass of cava over my dress to us its no way a 4 star we have stayed in many our experience was 2 star
